The i4A programme provides funding for LMIC researchers and imaging facility professionals to access biological and biomedical imaging services and training opportunities worldwide. Three
grant types are available: Access Grants (for conducting experimental work or gaining hands-on skills), Pro Grants (for researchers with substantial imaging experience to access GBI partner
facilities), and Training Grants (for participation in workshops or courses on imaging technologies, data analysis, management, or facility management). Approximately 20 Access, 10 Pro, and 20
Training Grants will be awarded. The programme directly covers facility and training fees when possible and assists with pre-funded travel arrangements. Applicants from low- and middle-
income countries are eligible, with individual applicants as grant recipients.
